Default 5050 or 5060

I have a Minolta Dimage 5 and have been thinking of getting a newer, smaller camera for travelling. Most of my pictures are in poorly lit museums with occaissional outdoorsy landscapes and typical snap shots of friends.

I was thinking of getting the 5050, 'cause it's small and has a fast 1.8 lens and uses CF cards. Then I noticed that Olympus is about to introduce the 5060, which no longer has the 1.8 lens.

So the question is, based on the spec's (since I don't think the 5060 is out yet, is it?) are the features of the 5060 enough of an improvement over the 5050 to offset the slightly slower lens?

Besides that, will either (or both) support 512 K or 1 gig CF cards?

I would recommend the C5050 over the C5060 because of your shooting preferences. The c5050 will support 512 and 1GB CF Type 1 or II cards.

The 5060 get you the 27mm wide angle now for the lost of the f/1.8, and the camera still supports CF-I and II. It'll be a mistake for Oly otherwise with just xD!

... even Sony see the light when their customers start shooting with higher and higher resolution, you just can't gouge people for too long, their $ will do the buying somewhere else.

I just bought the 5060. Has not arrived yet.
My main reasons for the 5060 over the 5050:
- wide angle 27mm
- rotating LCD much more robust mechanically
- LCD rotates 180degrees vs 90degrees
