Hi! I have an Olympus E-510 camera.
I recently purchased after market batteries that were 7.4V and 1560mAh, it says on the battery "for Olympus PS-BLM1". Its a Li-ion battery. The Specs for the camera says PS-BLM1, rechargeable li-on, DC 7.2V, 1500mAh. My question is, can i use these batteries for my camera, or should i return them? Thanks for your help .^_^. |

The battery voltage will not be an issue. The one thing that might happen though is that the actual operational time remaining based on the battery status display graph might be different (ie, different characteristic curve of time remaining versus charge). If I had to guess I would say that the graph might over estimate the time remaining as LI batteries characteristically tend to maintain a relatively flat voltage until they become significantly discharged at which time the voltage then falls dramatically.
