Default c-5060 internal flash problem

I've had my c-5060 for a couple of weeks now, and I'm just a student so i dont have much experience. One thing that is really bugging me is the flash. When I have the white balance set to any of the Preset 1 or Preset 2 settings, the flash turns the photo EXTREMELY blue. I have the wb+/- set to the center, also. When I use either the Auto white balance or the custom (using the flash when i take the sample), the image turns out fine. What is the problem? Do i have a messed up flash? or is this normal or what? I'd really appreciate any input. Thanks!

Custom white balance is mostly for non-flash, available light photography. Custom WB lets you take an accurate reading of the current lighting temperature. The temperature of the flash is constant and "known" by the camera, leave the WB set to auto.
