Grease the door seals ?

Hi guys,

I'd like to hear from anyone who has used rubber grease or silicone grease on the two rubber door seals on their Olympus Tough models and if they think it helps keep the camera watertight.

I think I read somewhere that Olympus don't advise this, but my supplied PDF user manual has nothing about it positive or negative.

I do 'lightly' grease the seals on my waterproof flashlights and other items, and check for anything that can get stuck under an O-ring etc. So far that's been good for those items. So thinking about the camera as well...

Any greasing experience with the Oly P&S cameras ?

Looks like this idea is rarer than I expected...
Well, might just put a light trace of silicon grease and test it in tap water.
