Default Intermittent shutter button on Tough 6020

Have a Olympus Tough 6020 camera. Video works fine, panorama works fine. Records/views panorama pics/videos to/from memory card fine. My problem is that it won't take still pics 90% of the time. When I press the shutter button the orange camera icon or the orange lightning bolt shows up on screen and nothing happens. If I keep pressing the shutter button eventually it will take a picture with flash. The pic comes out fine. I have tried setting camera without flash, same result. Any suggestions?

Interesting. A couple of things to try.
1. Do a camera reset to factory default settings
2. Try a different memory card and see if it does the same.

Good luck.
