Does anyone has experiance with bouth cameras? Does image stabilization makes such diference? What is the slower shutter speed whit what you can take clear picture without image stabilization at full telephoto?

P.S. sorry for my bad english ops:

I've only tried out these two cameras in a store, but the general rule for hand holding telephoto shots is the same for digital as it is for film cameras: the shutter speed should equal (or be close to) the reciprocal of the focal length in use. For example, when shooting at 200mm *without* IS, a sharp image would be obtained when the shutter speed is around 1/200 - 1/250 second. *With* IS, a shutter speed of 1/125 or 1/90 second might result in a sharp image. I've used Canon IS lenses and in general you gain about two stops with IS on. IS lenses do nothing for subject movement, of course.

As for the two cameras in question, I'm leaning toward the c-765 (or c-770), even though I'm a fan of Canon cameras. The C-765 is smaller and appears to produce sharper images - based only on what I've read so far. Your mileage may vary.
