I have a few dead pixels on my Uzi, and it seems some of the pictures are just not coming out as sharp as they used to, especially at low light. I am wondering if after three years it is time to move onto a new camera...

Is there anything on the market that compares to this thing? I have seen the reviews of the Canon S1 IS, and the FZ10.. But they just don't seem to have anything worth upgrading for, and seem to have issues focusing in low light(which I need).

Is there a camera out there that is hands down better that I am missing? If so, I would love a push in the right direction.

Thank you!

Hi John,

If your Uzi still serves the majority of your needs, you may want to consider sending it in for a tune up at Olympus.

Be sure you record serial number before you ship.

The 2100uz is still a fine camera. I have tack sharp 8 x 10s I printed from my uz which I had til I sold to buy an E20.

Three things I miss about uz:

1. optical stabilization

2. 10x optical zoom

3. sepia mode

Another thing to consider is this: Most of newer dig cams do not use AA batts.

Another cost to consider.

Just some thoughts
