The tripod mount on the bottom of the Olympus C750 digital camera is plastic. Some of the plastic on my mount has actually shaved itself off which means my tripod is not screwing into the camera securely (for one of my tripods it doesn't go in at all). I can get the part from Olympus for $7.00. I have learned that you need to go into the body of the camera to replace the part (it can not be done by just unscrewing the two tiny screws on the bottom of the camera where the mount is). I would like to know if anyone out there has taken the camera apart and what their experience has been. I would especially be interested in hearing from anyone with the same problem. Thank you.
