I just received a Canon CP-220 printer for Christmas for printing my Olympus c5050z photos directtly, without a computer.

The manual says we should connect the USB cable from our camera to the Canon, select the photo then press the Print button.

As soon as I connect the USB cable to the Olympus, the display showing the photo turns off and when I press the Print button on the Olympus, nothing happens.

The Canon manual says the camera must be "PictBridge" (industry standard)compliant.

Does anyone know if the Olympus c5050z is PictBridge compliant?

If so, any suggestions as to how to make it print?

Sorry but no, the Olympus C-5050 is -not- PictBridge compatible. There is no way to make it PictBridge either, it was made before the new PictBridge standard began this year. You will need to hook the CP220 up to your computer and print from it.
