Default olympus c 4000 vs. nikon coolpix 4300

Hello, i'm going to buy my first digital cam. I'cant decide between Olympus c 4000 and Nikon coolpix 4300. Please help me making the right choice. They say that the mechanism of c 4000 is too slow. What about the nikon coolpix 's one?
Thanks ops:

I am not aware of slow mechanism in the C4000. "They" may be referring to shutter lag. Shutter lag will also be a problem with the Nikon camera. Shutter lag can be corrected by pressing the shutter button halfway, the camera will auto focus, and then you can take a picture. You can also defeat shutter lag by operating in the manual mode. I am a Oly user and used the C4000 and it is a great little camera. It also has a super macro mode.
