Default advice to new oly buyers

through a lot of trial and error (just because i like to try this kind of thing) i found out the following great tip: if you have a 30X0, 40X0 ar 5050 camera,, and you are NOT going to use oly add-on lenses, do NOT buy the oly adapter, but rather get one from tiffen or other; the reason is that oly makes a straight adapter to 43mm end, whereas others make them fluted to 52mm etc. The difference is no vignetting on the wide angles with tele attachments. So, for example, you can use a 2X tele without having to keep your lens fully zoomed. This allows you to still use the whole zoom, without un-attaching the tele.
There you go, I hope i knew that before i bought all my stuff.

A good source for Kenko or Tiffen adapters is www.2filters.com. Very nice people and are very helpful.
