Default Is it time to replace my 3040 Zoom?

I'd like to hear some opinions.

I like this camera, but I haven't kept up with Olympus' latest developments. Price isn't an object, but print quality is. Other than larger print size, what would I gain by moving to the 5050? It would be nice not to lug the telephoto lens for everyday snaps - how does the 730 compare with its 10 optical zoom?

Thnaks for your input.

Steve just completed his final review of the c5050. I think his conclusions about the 5050 will amaze you. The C730 can provide you with that reach out and touch them feeling. Image stablization with the long zoom is still a problem that can be overcome with the use of a tripod. If you have requirements for the extra zoom then go with the C730. If you have the adapter tube, lens and filters for the C3040 they will be compatible with the C5050.

There's nowt wrong with the 3040. Unless you want a big zoom stick with it. The 3040 takes excellent pics.
