I really love those pictures!

Any general comments as to camera settings, tripod/no tripod, etc?

(At the risk of incurring BillDrew's wrath :lol Wonderful pictures, all. I especially love the snowscape--living in Southern California is nice most of the times (it's a balmy 63 degrees F/17.2 Celsius outside right now), but sometimes I sure do miss the snow (I grew up in snow country).

A few questions, if you don't mind:

- the landscape picture with a tree in the foreground and streaks of light in the background--are those lights reflections off clouds, or headlights?

- the black-and-white portrait of the gentleman (a self-portrait, maybe?); did you take the photo in B&W mode, or desaturate it via image editor? I really like how this one turned out--the shadows give it a very peaceful effect.

- did you have to adjust white balance at all, or the exposure value, for the snow shots? That is something I've never done before (taking photos of snow), but I've read that you have to be careful because snow can fool the camera's metering system.

Thanks for sharing the photos. That slideshow is a great feature. I use IrfanView, but didn't know it had a stand-alone slideshow ability. I could have viewed the slideshow even if I didn't have Irfanview installed on my computer, right?

So that's you, eh? I saw those pics a while back, but lost it somehow. I wanted to ask you if you did any error-correcting on any of the photos. If so, what were they mostly?

Great shots by the way
