Default D650 has a 2x3 ratio image size...where???????

The review at Steve's site says that the new Olympus D560 has

"A 3x optical zoom with 35-105mm coverage (35mm photography equivalent) "

I bought the camera based on this item and I am unable to find it in the manual or in the camera.

Does such a feature exist? If so, can someone kindly point me to it?

Many thanks

What do you mean you can't find it in the manual...you can't find how to zoom? ...you can't find the spec?

The specification is straight from Olympus' website under Technical Specifications:
"Lens Olympus aspherical glass 3x zoom lens 5.8-17.4mm
(35-105mm equivalent in 35mm photography)"

The zoom control is the W/T control on top of the camera, W (wide angle) to zoom out, T (telephoto) to zoom in.

If that's not the answer you're looking for, you should expand your question.

I should also point out that with most Olympus cameras there is a more detailed reference manual in PDF format located on the CD.

The only other answer I can think you're looking for is we use "35mm equivalents" so we have a common frame of reference...the focal lengths vary depending on the size of the element taking the picture, with digitals that means the size of the CCD. Some digitals have larger CCDs than others, and so we can compare the cameras the 35mm equivalence is used (and so you can compare the lens with the type of film camera most people used to use).

That is just describing that focal length of the zoom lens...from 5.8 - 17.4 mm makes it the equivalent in terms of magnification to a 35mm camera with a 35-105mm zoom lens.

Oops, sorry...Mike beat me to it...when I started the above there were no replies.
