Hello
I have a digital camera Olympus fe-340 and Olympus xD-Picture card in it. It worked good until I put the pictures on my computer. Now I have a problem, whenever I turn on the camera it always says write protect. Also,when I put the USB cable to the camera nothing happens on my computer. What do I do now? And how can I get rid of the write protect on my camera?

I have the same problem but my camera is a olympus fe-340. Does that make a difference? There's also no button thing on the side of the card. Some please help me.

You may want to see if the Format command (in your camera's setup menus) fixes it.

done just about everything...egads...nothing works...now what?

got new card, got pics off and formatted using DOS. It won't let me scroll up to the "play" tab to unlock the write protect funtion. New card says...card error...now what?

Im currently on holidays in the philippines and i plugged my camera (FE-340) into a computer at an internet cafe and now im getting the "write protect" error. I can later on format the card to fix the error but what do i do now with over 200 photos on the card that need to be backed up.... i can view the photos in the camera but they do not appear when looking through the computer.

any ideas?
