Default Creative PC-CAM 880/850

Hi ppl...
I saw on pricelists the new PC-CAM 880/850
Anyone test it or did some images to see how good is this cam...?
According to Creative it should be a 2MP CCD interpolating to 3MP (interpolation sux big time)...of course on papers all look fine but im wondering how is it in real life Creative is entering for the first time the game of digi cam with this model...the old 750 600 550 500 300 r only good as webcams nothing more...Actually i had b4 a while the 750

keep it real aiiiii

I bought one and returned it within a couple hours.

Totally bad quality, Bad dark pictures if used as webcam unless you have a flood light facing you. But this is only the a small part
of PC-Cam 880 story.. Even if its not used as a webcam, but used as a digicam the pictures it takes are not much better than a cheapy $29 Iconcepts digi/webcam combo which they sell at Office Max. The controls on the camera are so cheap, especially the main one which is the round joystick type up/down/left/right arrow is made so cheap that if you barely touch any part of it even accidentally, it acts as if you had intentionally depressed and it goes crazy displaying options you have not even chosen.

The camera in it's highest resolution, BEST mode even with flash is no better at all than the least inexpensive toy digital camera at any price.

What you see in the viewfinder is not what you actually get, and the LCD screen is so faded and lacks in contrast that even indoors with normal light difficult to use or to view properly.

Stay away from this 880/850 model or any other Creative brand unless you are basically into using it as a Webcam, and if you are there is no reason to spend the $150 on this one when for 1/2 of this price you can get a much better Creative Labs webcam/digicam combo without all the bells and whistles this one has. (yes it has a lot of bells and whistles, but none of them really work well).

Hope this helps.
