I would appreciate any comments on this.

I like it, but I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe because I spent last week taking a class in how to run sound boards for concerts. Not the same as a boat dash, but lots of buttons and knobs. 8)

hehehe.... you know, I have spent the last four years working with sound mixer boards and never once did I take a photo of one....haha Instead I take one of a boat dash....haha
Thankyou for your comment. I also like it but cannot quite put my finger on why.

I like it !

Maybe because I'm an engineer too ?

Well, technical panels are intriguing when they are taken from a different perspective.

They reveal a new essence when they are taken from an usual point of view different from the one we are accustomed to.

And the usual one is looking straight to it , with perfectly aligned horizontal and vertical lines and hence perfect 90 degree angles.

These panels are also wonderful for applying PS filters.

Just one thing : becare of elements in the shot border : the green pushbutton (or lamp) on the top is cut as well as there is little space on top of the antenna.

Soundengineer, I wish I could have a sound mixer to shot at in that way !

Nice and very intersting point of view, Soundengineer !

Well, is it a mixer or a military equipment in a battlefield ?

Mmm, maybe light has a part in it !
It looks like everything has a yellowish color. Which kind of lamps were turned on when u have taken the shot ?

Looks like white balance needs some help.

I tried to correct the dominant color with PS : it's very easy, all u have to do is to pick up a white or grey element in the shot.
Assuming the top of the central knob is grey this is the result :

Is it more realistic ? and less dirty looking ?

Well, as I said, tech panels are wonderful for applying PS filters.

Here's an example :

Note : hope u don't mind for this extra-picture of mine, I wouldn't like you to consider it an invasion to a post of yours. All in all, it all started as a boat dash shot !
