Default microphones

While on the topic... I took these photoes today.
For me it is very difficult to tell if they are good or not, since I have a certain relationship to them....hehe.... If that makes any sense.
I personally like them, but I am not sure if that is because I generally like microphones....hehe

So please tell me if I could have taken these photoes differently to make them more interesting to other people.

These are very intersting topics and I like the effort you have spent trying to find a non conventional point of view !

IMHO images could be improved in the following ways :

First Image :
- a better focus, like the one in the second shot.
- writings in the background are disturbing : they are too clear and they steal attention from the main subject. Try to take the shot from the opposite part , if possible, or open your shutter to decrease the Depth of Field.
- it would be nice to see the wire as well.
- let your subject breath : leave a little bit more space between the subject and the picture border.

Second Image :
- more or less the same as in the First Image, but for the focus.
- sometimes colours are not so intersting wherease the subject is ! In this case better desaturate like u did in the first shot. Even though the red lamp ( is it an "On Air" ? ) is nice near the wheat metal and the black microphone. Uh, I think your subject is deserving a lot of shots.

Thankyou for your comments Sergio. I also felt that the cables were missing and felt that they had been amputated.
I left the colour in the second one because of the "on air" lamp..but now that you mention it, I think it would have been great in black and white with only the red light being in colour.

I am very happy to learn all of these things.

That's a great  , soundengineer.
Focus on the microphone and the red "On Air" lamp standing out from a BW background to remind the viewer that the scene is in a studio !

Great ! Sounds good to me as well !

Looking forward to see it !
