Default [Video] 1st person perspective ride on Boulder Dash

Click here for a short clip of the movie I took with my Canon G5 last Saturday. It's a ride on one of the world's best wooden roller coasters at a small park, Lake Compounce, in Bristol, Connecticut, USA. Warning, it is 7.3 megabytes. You might want to scale it up to 200%.

Thanx for sharing the fun and the stomach-ache

Looks like the video is BW or with a very low saturation.

Is it due to an excessive compression ?

Hmmm, perhaps something is wrong on your end because the video is not b&w or even desaturated. Glad you got the effect of Boulder Dash though! I rode it 5x that day.

Default Wheeeee!

Almost like being there... The video quality was good (color/clarity). Next time though, if you can get a seat a bit closer to the front (fewer bodies in the way), and be a little steadier (of course that is impossible on a wood coaster) you could give us an even better whoosh feeling as you (WE) head over the hills....

Now where is the carousel? (merry-go-round) It is more my speed now-a-days!!!

That does look like fun!

We have a wooden rollercoaster here that was built in 1955

I hate riding it cause I've almost fell out of it before, and a couple of people have

But that does add to its excitement, I have to ride it at least once when I goto our amusement park

Gimli, what is the name of your roller coaster and what park?

Jody Q, I decided to shoot that Boulder Dash video at the last minute, after I was already seated. But I think I will take a front seat video before the season is over. Now I did shoot a video in the front seat of the other wooden coaster in the park, Wildcat, which has operated since 1927. I will edit and post that video when I get a chance.

And I just have the feeling I'm going to make a few more coaster videos at a couple other parks in my area this season.

Yes, thanx. My decoder has indeed some problem.
