Well, a good start Kex !

What I like :
- I like tones of the first one (is it genuine the brown color of the background ?)
- I do like the simplicity and humor of the second one (I could really be an advertising billboard indeed ).
BTW , a nice font, which one is it ?

What I don't like so much :
- the cast shadow of the first one, or maybe the contrast between a symmetric composition of the dish and the diagonal cropped shadow on the right.
Maybe that asymmetric shadow wanted a different composition or the symmetric composition wanted a light source to be placed on top like the single nut shot.

- The unbalanced distribution of elements of the second one : too much empty white on the top and too little distance between the elements on the bottom.

BTW2: I think u should patent that sentence along with the shot : I can imagine some nice T-Shirts with a photo and a writing like that.
I think u have created a good merchandising object !

It was a white paper as the background and a normal orange light.

Thanks a lot! I didn't mean to let it be funny or something actually. I just took the photo, saw the empty space and thought "Hey, that's just a nut."
But thanks, you're right. it looks good on the shirt. But what can it be used for?
The font by the way is called "Mistral".

I agree with you concerning the shadow. it looks a little odd. I'll give it another try, soon.
