Default Ox Tail Soup

Like Sergio said, just for the fun of it...

Some individuals get queasy about the whole concept of ox-tail soup/stew. I guess the tail is too close to the southern end of the cow. It does have other uses than swatting flies. Ox-tail soup and/or stew is a gourmet item here in the islands because of the varied ethnic backgrounds that eat it in their original homeland.

Incidentally, it's great stuff.

Even though it's very popular in Hawaii it is unusual to see a restaurant with a neon sign advertising the delicacy. Shot was taken with a Minolta S404, manual mode, 1/11 second, f3.6, no flash and hand held . No other correction other than cropping and size reduction.

Comments welcome.

Great shot. We have ox tails here in houston at "the soul food" restaurant. They really are not tails or "tail" meat. Pretty good stuff though.

Folks, thanks for your kind comments.

Joshua, I haven;t had any cow's foot or goat head soup since leaving Jamaica. The original goat head soup was called "mannish water". It was supposed to elevate the male virility.
