Default Photo of the moon - Coolpix 995

This is a photo of the moon I taken last year, through a Schmidt-Cassegrain Celestron Telescope (G8), the 995 was attached behind the scope, and used a 29mm 2 inch barrel ocular and a neutral density filter, to prevent overwhelming glares. Shutter speed IRC was about 1/250 sec.

Ciao !

Yes, stunning it is!

You can actually discern the stellate geography
where the surface has sustained hits.

What is the millimeter range on that telescope? Just curious and jealous at the same time

Hi koruvs, the telescope is a SCT Celestron G8, this is a 200mm F/10 cadioptric telescope, focal lenght is 2000 mm.

Correction of previous statement above, the ocular, or known as eyepiece was a Plossl 26mm, and I used a Neutral Density filter (ND) with 13% light passing only, this is to prevent glarring.

One small image of the telescope :

Any other question, let me know
