These little guys are whats known as Turtle Rocks. The are rocks that became trapped and encased in sedimentary debris when the area was under water millions of years ago. As the ancient sea receded and the land began to eroded away, either by time or the movement of glacial ice, once again they are in the light of day. For what its worth.
