Default 5 of the best - A showcase, part 3

Back in April I created the first 5 of the best - A showcase which was a great success, following this by a few weeks we went for Another 5 of the best (hmm, so that is probably 5 of the almost best LOL) which was also a wonderful thread with many people sharing their work.

They've been ticking along but as we've got lots of new members I thought it time to go for part 3.

Please follow the same guide as before when posting.

1. Make a serious effort to choose 5 of your top photos not just the first 5 'OK' ones that you spot. Post the 5 photos in a single post not 5 separate ones.
2. Don't post all the same style/genre, include at least 2 different styles so show your diversity.
3. Keep photos to a maximum size of 1024 pixels, but a bit smaller is probably wise to keep the size of this thread down a bit.
4. Only one photo post (5 shots) per member but feel free to comment is subsequent posts.
5. This is not the place to critique, beat up people etc, but friendly encouragement is always appreciated and welcome.
6. Get involved and don't be worried that some people might be better than you.... we all have this problem, none of us has mastered this photography game.
7. Enjoy the great work that the members here at Steve's are putting together.

I've not shot too much variety in the last months, I think it had something to do with getting married etc so I found this pretty difficult.

1. A display outside a church for a wedding I shot here in Alexandria.
2. A guitarist at the same wedding.
3. A wedding from last year in the UK, makeup change as the first part of the wedding was a traditional church service then next it was to the Hindu service.
4. My wife's cousin's daughter (did you get all that) on a rock looking pretty cute.
5. My wife getting cold and wet in the name of photography, off camera flash held by 'willing' volunteer camera right.

Thanks Dustin..... I'm honestly a bit limited with the stuff I have and didn't feel the others were up to par. I must shoot more

OK, so where are you photos, don't tell me you are at work so can't do anything yet..... excuses, excuses.

Hi Mark,

You're right, that's only fair. I'm working at them right now.

Default Thank you Mark

For starting another series of 5 of the best, or as I like to think of it; 'show me what you got'./ And thanks, as this gives me a something to work on as I'm sitting here for Earl to arrive this evening:

1st was in Florida on a boat, taking a tour of the Everglades National Park
2nd was taken in my backyard this Winter
3rd is a Hydrangea this Spring
4th is pretty in pink
5th is a sunset at the Great Salt Marsh in Sandwich, MA

I'm Looking forward to 'seeing what you got'

Zig

Well Here are some that I took over the summer that I really liked. It was hard to pick 5, but I choose 1 form each of the different places I went.

First one was in Torrance Cali
Second Vancouver Harbor
Third Frankfurt
Forth Vintage Day in Governors Island
Fifth my first tone mapping attempt
