Default Shipwreck from 1961

I've been meaning to hike to this shipwreck for some time and I finally got around to it. After climbing down a 100 foot cliff and walking about 1/2 a mile I saw some pieces scattered along the rocks.

The name of the ship was the Dominator. It was a Greek ship Sailing from Portland Oregon to the Algiers. It was to stop in Los Angeles for fuel when it ran aground.

A barge with a crane also ran aground while unloading the grain from the Dominator. Thats it on the right.

Here's more information on this shipwreck

Looking out across the kelp towards Hermosa Beach. If you look you can see Hermosa pier (to the right) and Manhattan Beach pier (to the left).

Very interesting shots and informative narrative; enjoyed those.
(No matter how hard the metal, the sea is relentless, and always wins.)
