Default New Hobby

I picked up a RC helicopter that came with a built in movie/still camera. The camera was junk as well as the copter. But I got interested in flying it. So I bought another one. Here is a shot of each while I was out playing with them. Im looking forward to getting up to a large one that will take a regular digital camera. Meanwhile I am learning to fly.

Over 60 people and you are the only one to say anything. Thanks Ordo. You are a gentleman.
It wasnt easy flying the things and holding a camera in the other hand all at the same time.

Flying with one hand, shooting with another! I don't think I would have the
coordination for that. Enjoy the new toy.

Well corkpix to go forward or backward there is a small propeller on the tail which pulls the tail up or pushes it down. If you look at both pics the tail prop isnt turning so the copter is just sitting there. Thats when I took the pics. I had my son out with me and I made a movie with music. I will see if I can link it here. Its the first time I ever did anything with video.

Bynx,

i have a CP Heli-Max, and I can't keep it still... The slightest breeze will carry it away so I hesitate to attach anything valuable to it just yet.

Great shots though

Did you see the video NHL? Even the slightest breeze makes it take off so I weighted the front ends with a few pennies. These are only 3 channel so control isnt the greatest in the wind. I only go across the street to fly them on the calmest of mornings.

There's a bunch of people going insane on these hobbies. It seems its an addiction. Indoor flying of micro motor super light planes is nice to see:
