Default Portfolio from Central America..

Hey all,

Well I just had the gaul to actually apply for a job as a freelance photographer with a company that shoots foreign destinations and I was requred to put together an online portfolio. I put up what I thought to be my better photo's from a 4 month trip to Latin America and tried to show a wide variety of styles.

Seeing as you're all the pro's over here I'd love to get some feedback from some of you. I'm not a professional photographer at all but I do enjoy playing around with it. My camera is simply a Canon A70 with nothing else.

Anyway, I appreciate the effort very much if you do have time. Thanks.

Scott

You're doing everything right except for one thing: back off a little when you're framing your subjects because you've a tendency to lop off parts of objects and people. Once you do this, your photos will be wonderful.

Scott,
By George, you've got it. Like Barbara said aside from the framing bit you've got a nice touch. The colors are wonderful.

Very nice photos. You've really created a sense of "place" in them. They compare favorably to the photography one sees in National Geographic. Great job and good luck getting the job.

I really enjoyed those. Well done, interesting and beautifully composed.

My green faced egret has been missing for several days looks like he turned up in Belize. He likes hot dogs.

Thanks everyone for both the kind comments and the useful advice. This forum has always been a great help. Now that I'm home from traveling I'll try and spend some more time here and participate a little more. Cheers,

Scott
