Default another try at the Milky Way

went over east of the mountains to Lake Wenatchee (a lot less light pollution there!) on Tuesday night to try some more Milky Way shots. this one's better than my last, but i'm still not really happy with it... i think part of the problem is that i'm only seeing about half the length of the Milky Way that i've seen in other photos... don't know if it's a question of latitude, season, or what, but i'd really like to be able to get more of it in the image. taken with my 5D2 and Rokinon 14mm lens at f/2.8, 30 sec @ ISO 4000. the 14mm lens is a big help - with a 114 degree field of view on a FF body, it takes in a lot of sky!

Thats a pretty awesome photo Rocky.
ISO 4000, f/2.8 and 30 seconds of exposure picks up a lot of light.

thanks! this one was taken with my Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 on a 5D2... gave me a 114-degree FOV - great for this kind of thing!
