spotted this on a recent foggy morning walk at a nearby marsh, and it had a sort of otherworldly feel to it... it was a very dull, gray, monochrome sort of day, and the image came out almost B&W anyway, so it didn't take much to convert it... 7D, 100-400 @ 170mm, 1/2000 @ f/8...

G'day Rocky

Good visual there mate -
Q: how would it look upside-down & with a bit of brightening? to make it more contrasty

thanks, Phil... i actually tried inverting it, but it looked a little odd since tbe bottom is ever so slightly darker than the top. also tried more contrast, but that seemed to cut down on the misty, foggy effect i liked...

Very nice find, Rocky. A few tweaks suggested by Phil and attempted by you didn't work well for me too, but when I turned the image and added two dots, the image fell more in line with the caption you gave! Hope you wouldn't mind my taking your image and working on it.
