Default Gold statues

Took this photo recently. These statues stand on a column in front of the Buckingham palace.
Thought it might look more interesting like that, what do you think?

Thanks Vito!
yes i ve converted to B&W: statues, base and sky one at a time, using channel mixer and grayscale,
then i ve selected the statues alone and changed colour balance to create the gold effect and further adjusted levels/curves and saturation.

wait?! this wasn't a gold statue to begin with?!
wow! great job!
i did notice something though....looks like a second wing or something on the top statue needs to be converted to gold too....it is dark so you might not have seen it....or it could be something in the sky....not sure wat it is...

nice shot and great job in photoshop!

Thanks Vito for spoting those feathers! i thought i had cloned them..

Yes the colour of the statue was gold to begin with, but i had originally converted everything in b&W, then when i returned to the image yesterday i thought to try and selectively colour and tone the statue to see the effect and ended up with the image above.

You did a great job with this. It has a surreal look to it that I love.
