Default Tonights Moon

I guess this goes here.

This is tonight?s moon, they're not the best of pictures but I thought someone might be interested. I'm not overwhelmed by them at all. I was just playing around and practicing before the football highlights stated.
The first is ISO100 and cropped.
The second is ISO400, 2 second exposure and cropped.
The third is ISO400, 2 second exposure, cropped and edited to remove noise.
The fourth is ISO100, 2 second exposure, cropped and edited to remove noise.

I like the second one (with noise), the noise seems to add to it. And that thing in the bottom of the fourth is a TV aerial.

It appears to me that 2,3, &4 are over exposed or out of focus. Another possibility is that they are over processed in PS or whatever program you use. I like the first shot the best. It is clean, clear, and sharp.

I was just messing about last night so thanks for the feedback, I can see what you mean. The first one had a shorter exposure. What it was I don't know, the camera set it.

I agree that the first pic is definitely the best of the 4. What camera/lens combo are you using? I have found that I get the best results with the moon when I partial meter (my camera doesn't spot meter) and then slightly underexpose (1/3 stop on average)
Check out these 2 shots. Both with my 10D and my Sigma 80-400 @400

Those are the 2 best shots of the moon I have gotten to date. When I next see the moon on a clear night I shall try again!
