Spectacular shot! What was your setup? In other words, what kind of backdrop, lighting. I have been thinking of doing some still life shots in total darkness, using only a flashlite or penlite for lighting. In the past, someone suggested using fiber optics for creative lighting. The idea intriques me so I may try it sometime soon.

calr, hate to say it but this was shot in the back yard in morning sun. That said, I shot raw, lowered the contrast, raised the shadow slider & the background disappeared!

Aw, heck, that's cheating! Here, I thought you used some kind of fancy lighting setup. Anyway, my original evaluation still holds--great shot!

niiice! you can have the same effect...inside....by going in a dark room....with as little light as possible...and shining a flashlight (you'll have to figure out exposure and timing yourself....my secret ) from right and behind...and sometimes maybe flash it under too.....

great shot! beautiful colors....

John,

Glad to see you back in action again. Very nicely done. Can't argue with success even though the road is a surprise at times.

On first galnce I also thought you used some fancy set-up.

Aloha
