Work started to build the canal in the late 1760's, maybe he's been here since then.:-)

I don't think I would want to hit a hard bump sitting in that seat. Notice the rod or pipe in the middle of the spring under the seat. Ouch! :? :?

Yes i see what you mean. That would be enough to put you off bicycles for life. Enough to make your eyes water.
