This flag flies outside a business. It soars about 50 feet off the ground and is about 8' x 15' in size.

I shot about thirty photos of it one evening, trying to capture in a photo the endless, everchanging wave rolling across the flag as I simultaneously heard its sound, like a sail suddenly filling with a snap.

It was shot handheld at about a 1/30 of a second.

Hope you are all not offended but I removed the flag. Hope you understand.

thats a good shot of your flag. This is a shot of my states (west aust) flag. This stands about 30 feet in the air on a front yard in a very tiny countrytown I travel to for work. This town has very little in the way of lawns. The front yard consists of a concrete driveway and this flag. They dont even have curtains in the window, just black tinting to keep out the heat in summer as it get to around 44C then.

Nice one aladyforty, if you want to see an England flag try here. :-)

The flags are there mainly for Euro 2004 but i'd like to keep at least one up permanently. I might have to get a flagpole. :-)

I thought you were just the union jack???? I sometimes think a new flag is in order here without the union jack (nothing against England) and just the southern cross stars with something else in place of the UJ. Still I like our flag.

England,Scotland and Wales all have seperate flags but all use the Union Jack too. I agree that Australia should have a flag of it's own, i'm surprised it hasn't already been done. Here's a Scotland flag.

Yes, i'm not sure what it's called. The Scotland flag is the cross of St Andrew and the English flag is the cross of St George. :-)
