I get a creepy sense of lonliness when I look at this one.

Wow, Amy, I like this one. It says absolutely nothing, but then on the other hand, it says a whole lot, too. It's very stark. I like how you got down to the same level as the bench, too, I think it adds to the feeling the picture gives you.

Good eye there Amy. A couple niggles though are the over exposure on the bench and it would have been nicer to have a little more ground in front of the bench. Did you take a shot where it was metered on the seat of the bench?
I'm impressed by every photo you've posted with your new camera, even if I haven't said so in all of your posts.

Thanks guitarman and ferny.

I have one that's at a different angle without the overexposure, but from that one I got no feelings whatsoever.

I am still figuring out how to do all of this stuff and still need to read my whole manual (And that's like a chapterbook!)

Nicely done, Discodudette...

It reminds of an old song...Bookends by Simon and Garfunkel.

Hey girl!

I like this picture! I cant say I love it because it brings a feeling of lonliness to me, and I dislike that feeling. But on how pictures go, its a super photo! Just work with the exposure! I know the majority of the harshly lit pictures I take are overexposed too.
