Hi there, I am new here but have watched over the wifes shoulder (aladyforty) for a while and have decided seeing as she has learned so much here I might give it a try as well, I love taking pics of aircraft, clouds, machinery and archery. The wife has let me have her Canon G3 and with special permission I can use her canon EOS 3300D to take pics of aircraft, I find the G3 just isn't setup for it, even though I have a 2x lens on it I can't quite get close to the planes, especially when they are flying.

I have posted a few pics I have taken at the local airport, any suggestions would be really helpful on how to improve them.

These are pretty good, Matt. I particularly like #3. In #1, it might have looked better had you used the rule of thirds to frame it. It just looks too centered to me. Love the color and angles in #2. Very nice shot. #4 is a great shot thatmight have benefitted from a faster shutter speed I think. You can see some evidence of camera shake (I'm sure because you're having to hand hold the camera to capture such a scene!). Keep up the good work, you're doing quite well. Your exposures are VERY good.

Just a thougtht, but a long tele (and fast) will help a lot to defocus that background... or it's about time to add a layer to de-focus the surrounding in Photoshop on the cheap!
