My Credit Union has a yearly calendar. Natural Human Resourses is the theme this year. Photos should show people in the community, finding balance in nature and building their lives.

My photo shows fishing the St. Mary's river (nature), Algoma Steel (our largest employer) and the International Bridge to the U.S.A.

Please let me know what you think of my photo andif you think the shot is worthy to submit.

There are many great shots and help here, I owe ya one...........thanx.

2 - Yea's

I'll do it. The river produces some rainbow trout and with the steel plant, I'll call the photo "Steel Head".

Thank-you both for the confidence. I guess it will be a couple months before I find out if it is accepted. If it is you konw I'll will proud to post it!

Thanx again...........John.

I think it'll be a good entry. It is a good photograph. There are two very minor concerns though. The lens flare on the left and the smoke from the chimney on the right. The flare is slightly distracting and the smoke looks a little like a dirty mark.

When you submit it, and if they take it, make sure when they print your picture they dont clip the shadow detail for the fishermen and the rocks. I think the slight amount of detail there really adds personality to the shot!

Thank-you both. ferny, there was a great sunset to the left, I have it in a couple other shots. The "dirt" is kinda part of it if you live near by you know what it is about.(it sucks living next door to a steel plant, but part of our lives). Gandalf065, they want the shots in an 8x10, so I think they will leave it as is.

Thanks again.

I would say, fit it to a tea! The subject I mean. I'm a newbie and I think this would be worthy of a print! Excellent job! I love the 2 colour contrast.
