Same training fire as earlier. When this one was taken there was another fire fighters beside me with a thermal imaging camera and got a temperature reading of just over 1200 degrees f. Yes it was getting a little warm where we were standing:-)

Very interesting shot. The steam rising from the ground in front of the opening is being drawn into the fire... and the flames seem to be taking on an almost human form. (You have to close one eye and tilt your head just so...)

Ireally like the way the fire is shaped by its invisible container & then springs out fire-like at the top.
