Pretty much the first shots I've taken with my new camera. Ok, I'd taken one or two before this, but just to see what each button did. It was the first time it'd been on the tripod.

No editing apart from a resize and a bog-standard sharpen.





They aren't meant to be the best photos in the world. Just quick shots. It's so nice to be able to change the aperture now.

so when did you get this camera, is it the same one you taked about in the vote on the weekly challenge? what kind is it???:-)

Yup, it's the Minolta DiMAGE z10. Santa gave it to me. :lol:
In short, it's a 3.2mp camera with a 8x optical zoom. And it'll let me play with the shutter and aperture. Woohoo!

ferny i hope you will enjoy your Z10 the same way i am enjoing my z2!
i find interesting your shot number 2. composition is a bit complex due to the slanted lines but the idea of the shadow of the glass is great and i think that working on this kind of scene could result in a nice picture!
