Thanks, hope the new year brings a new camera, what kind would you like to get, one of those superzooms sounds like something i would not mind having myself but after three digitals in four years, 2 in the last year, I don't think Hubby would be impressed:-)

We had a minutes silence for all the victims of the tidal wave, I don't know about where you and vito are but Australians holiday in Phuket all the time and we have many missing and some have died already. Heres hoping the world can put their hands in their pockets and donate for the areas affected.

Don't you love how there is no noise in them using those settings? That's the first thing I noticed when I took them mine in July, the sky was pure black.

yes, I took the settings from what you said in Canon eos forum (I think), had to adjust a little to allow for it being very dark but after a few tests this is what I settled for and they came out pretty reasonable apart from the obvious shake caused by windy weather. Thanks for the help.

Thanks. As for the camera, my nefew works at a electronic store and he showed me a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20 (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/fz20.html) Thats the one i want.

As for the victims of the tidal wave, we have 4 Canadians gone for a better world and about 150 missing, most of them were there in vacation for the Holidays. It's very sad. Our National Capital, Ottawa, cancelled all celebration for the new year, in memory of those.

11 Australians dead and they have immediate concern for 111.
About 1000 Australians were unaccounted for last night. Yes very sad.

That camera looks great, hope you can get it soon.:-)
