I believe you are right, it is an underwater shot. Very interesting. raxafarian can you add some comment to your picture.

sorry for delay in reply... been busy this past week.

Yes... it's an underwater picture. Taken on the wreck of the Duane in Key Largo (an artificial reef).
Shot from the deck looking up the mast toward surface...

Used avail. light and set camera for B&W.... although, I guess I could do the same in photoshop.
