Hi Julie, you were kind enough to answer all my questions about Australia, (was it Labor day there today, or eight hour day, or something?) any way, here's a look at the fair in our city, more properly known as The Stampede. Yup. Cowboys and...more cowboys an such. Quite a few pics, so I down sized them a little more than I usually do.

And in case you need a helping hand...

These are typical shots of what you'd see wandering around our Stampede grounds and taking in some of the livestock exhibits. The rides and rodeo are another story, and a different post... best regards, thanks for looking

thanks for posting these, looks like the same kind of things that are at Aussie agricultural fairs. There is a big fair about 200ks from me in Wagin next weekend, Id love the chance to get up there to see it. They call it the "wagin woolarama":-)

Ya, methinks basically a fair is a fair is a fair...but thought I'd post anyway. What I am going to try to do, is get some of our countryside and wildlife, as well as the area around my cabin in British Columbia. That might be a bit different for you. Here's a bit of a side note, for you. Tonight I started a digital camera course, at our local Technical Institute. Here's what surprised me. Most (if not all) had Dslr's, if I heard right, (I'm a little hard of hearing and intro's were kinda quiet) and not too shabby either. Three (out of twelve) had the Canon 20D and one had a 1st ds, a Pentax. I am being allowed to take this course but will not recieve credit as in toward a diploma, which I gather the rest of the class is there for. Jeepers, I thought the poor student was more than a myth until now. But it looks like it will be fun. I have a photo assignment for next week. Best regards,

KennethD
