Don't know what it is - but I love it!

I've seen a lot of those "ionic" balls in places like Spencer Gifts. They are fun to play with. Your photos are great except for one problem--reflections. Those lights reflecting off the glass globe are really distracting. Can you darken the room and try shooting again?

Also, I don't know if those things generate RF energy or static charges that could interfere with proper operation of the camera. If you are shooting very close to the device, watch for anomalous behavior of the camera or more noise than usual. This may not be a concern but it is something to think about.

Keep on truckin'!

Very nice...really spacey looking. I understand what Cal is saying, but even knowing where the light (reflections) come from, I like the look. Makes it look sort of like a shot way out in space, and the lights give it an imaginative 3d, or the illusion of depth...or something sci fi! Thanks for posting, Best regards,

Very nice one.

It reminds me the video of The Future Sound of London, of the song called Cascade.

You have to take a look at their artwork, for example the one in their album Lifeforms.

This is a still of that video.

Very nice, Meryl Arbing, something I definitly would like to shoot at sooner or later.

Calr is concerned about suggesting you to take a perfect clean still-life shot and I do agree on trying to have another go.

However, I also understand the cosinderations of KENNETHD ! Actually, after readinghis comment I started to think of the final scenes of "Closed Encounters Of The Third Kind"
