I was going to post this in "People Photos", but I guess it fits better as "Other". This is one ofmy last shots in the Urban Decay shoot. We emerged from a deserted alleyway onto a bustling downtown street.

This is a scene that has gone on as long as there are cars, young people and warm summer evenings.

Comments?

Cheers

One of the local camera stores hosted a photoshoot in downdown Windsor, Ontario on July 31. It was a chance to explore some areas of town that otherwise you might pass by, or feel uncomfortable stopping in. To be sure, there were drunks and hookers, but there were also some very neat aspects of forgotten architecture - walls that had been built and broken and repaired and renovated and painted and forgotten. There was a small number of us, with varying camera kits and experience. I think I was the least experienced of the bunch.

I highly recommend doing something like this. Grab a few friends and hit the dirty streets. It's licence to shoot; your public inhibitions vanish like that. Several people stuck their heads out the back door of their restaraunts or the like. They were interested by what we were doing and that was that.

It was a great experience. I took about 200 shots. I'll post a few as the days go by here.

Cheers,

A good shot Tom, and a very good idea, the Urban Decay Tour 2005 !!

I'm pleased, no relieved, to hear it's not just me that sometimes feels uncomfortable out in public.

Yeah it's great going to the zoo etc, because everyone is doing the same. But to get into the real zoo of life........

I've had a look at your other shots from this series, very good too !!

Stevekin.
