I was surprised at how the flash lit up the trees - they were on the other side of the garden. I softened the halo round the moon with Neat Image because it looked very grainy.

Canon S1IS at 10x zoom, hand held. The picture's the full frame.

NIce picture! It almost looks like a harvest moon. When my shots are too grainey, I just turn them to black and white, then you can't tell. In this case it would loose the colour of the moon but give it a try and see how it turns out.

Mommy - I tried what you suggested - .

That gave me the idea of reducing the saturation & I ended up with 4 versions - the original, one with some reduced saturation, one with much less saturation but still not black & white, & finally one in black & white! It's interesting to click on them in sequence. I think I like the second one best.
