Going to post a couple of snapshots, hope someone can tell me what the name of this transformer isor if these things are worth anything. It changes from a jet to a robot, about 12 or so inches tallwhen a robot. I don't know what year it's from, but I had it when I was around 10/11 years old so that would put it around 1985/85.

Thats jetfire... he's one of the most popular transformers, and actually worth a decent penny. Not a ton, but still. He's got his gun and is in good shape. Transformers are worth more than most toys of that age because so many broke from kids playing with them.

I'm guessing that if you ebayed him, you'd get about $75 (significantly less if you sold it to a store)

/nerd who knows too much about toys

Uh, not to sound like a loser, but is Jetfire from the old generation of Transformers? I don't recall anyone like that who was with Optimus Prime in the early days. Please, clue me in. He must be from the Beast War Series.

Too late, :blah: Just kidding. Yeah its from the first series, if the first series was around 1984/85. I had this when I was around 10/11(31 now) years old. I don't ever remember seeing another one either, my little brother had a couple different ones. But there are alot of jetfires on ebay.

Thanks Luxowell, I forgot I posted this... So I have a bid of $75 from Luxowell:-), anyone else??:?

I´m Sorry to tell you boys......but that´s an action figure ofthe series ROBOTECH also known as MACROSS, That airplane is a VF-1 VERITECH JET FIGHTER that transforms from a Fighter (jet), to a Guardian (jet with legs and arms extended) to a battloid (full robot).

Hey wargunn,

Thanks for the reply, I didn;t know the name of the action figure I have from when I was a kid. That's why I asked, but I think Luxowell was right on this one.
Edit: should mention that I stole this image of ebay... shame on me...:-?

I was curious however and GIS'd VF-1 VERITECH JET FIGHTER and they do look awfully similar. On mine however on the nosecone of the jet you can see the transformer emblem.

Here is the VF-1

My bad!.......I didn´t saw the Transformerslogo on the nose of the jet!......I was willing to bet money that it was from Robotech and not Transformers.

It was from the Macross line, your not going crazy!

In the original toy line Hasbro ( the company that produces the Transformers) decided to go with this mold for the character Jetfire.
