I just opened the shutter as this bolt hit the sea (beyond the trees). I missed a few other shots because my battery ran out!

Superb - really well done. We spent ages in Greece trying to capture lightening with nothing like the same results as this. Fantastic!

yeah very good indeed

i managed to get lightning once but was sat in the hall with door open and the view is cluttered, we dont get lightning like that often in england as most i see is sheet style not fork, but now i got a new digi slr u can be sure ill be trying again
