Scene from Guy Fawkes night. Bonfire & Firework display in our village, Gnosall, Staffordshire

It was raining on ansd off so I only took my small Fujifilm Finepix A210 as it slips into a pocket easily

I dont think anyone actually thinks about why we have bonfire night on Nov 5th. Its just an excuse to watch fireworks and have a party with loads of sausages, burgers and plenty of drinks afterwards. Its supposed to only happen on Nov 5th but in most places in England there are fireworks going off almost every night from the end of October to the end of the year. Terrifying for the dogs and cats. My dog just hides and trembles poor little thing!

i tried my best but it was very windy and very wet, had camera wrapped in plastic and sheltered it best i could with my body, this was the best out of the bunch, it allways is poor weather so chance of getting that one great shot is next to zero !
