If you have an ancient and much-loved camera or two around, post a picture of it. This is my Voigtlander Prominent, with an F 1.5 Nokton.

Zeiss Contax II, with F 2.0 50 mm Tessar.

I'm not a camera collector, I'm a camera accumulator. I use them. It will be a sad day indeed, when there will no longer be film for these marvelous old instruments.

This is my father's old photo film camera and the reason I fell in love with the art of photography.
I think that the first thing that struck me as a child was just how darn complicated this camera seemed to be to operate. It fascinated me that, in order to get a good photo, one had to tweek all those buttons and wheels and master their functions.

I like them. Here are a couple, I've used and some that have been in my family for a few years.

Not quite so old, but this is the only shot of my last camera.

Here is my wife's old Agfa. Her father gave her this when she was in Jr. High school in about 1955.

Old screwmount leica. Wonderful camera, although loading is kind of a chore. I like using a 50mm Canon 1.9 with it. According toa friend, this one was built the year Hitler invaded Poland to start WWII.

Topcon RE Super. A pro camera, as solid and good a tool as the Nikon F, but it wasn't marketed well, and the line of lenses was not as complete as that offered by Nikon. A pleasure to use; the fit and finishare exceptional.

My first camera was this Voighlander. Was on vacation in Miami Beach and needed to capture some of the mermaids on the breach. Paid $50.00 in 1955.

Kodak Retina IIa Very good f 2.0 lens. Squinty rangefinder, but a very good, very well-constructed camera.
