One thing I've always had trouble with, when it comes to getting a clear shot of the moon. Usually the camera would choose a long shutter speed, and the moon comes out overexposed, basically a featureless bright disk.

But by putting the camera in Tv mode and using a faster shutter speed, say of 1/50 or even higher, the moon comes out properly exposed. I shot this with my A610 at 4x zoom...handheld!

The moon and the pitch black sky around it...

Now this is really nice, only if there was a way of zooming in and bringing the moon much closer. Regards. Jaki

Here's a 100% crop of one I managed to take using the FZ30 at full zoom. I've seen much better shots taken with the same camera with a TCON 17 attached, you could probably find them if you search the Panasonic forum.

Those are fantastic. Did you use a telescope with it?

This is the best that I have been able to get so far.

However have a look at this thread (I'm sure some of you will have seen it before) as this is a tidy setup http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...148&page=5
